In-Service Teacher Training Programme
We have designed, piloted, collected feedback from teachers and refined the in-service teacher training programme that supports teachers as they learn to embed research into their daily practice.
The in-service teacher training programme provides teachers access to tools, resources and introductory videos on research techniques that are useful for small scale classroom research. We have revised the materials based on the feedback from teachers and other stakeholders that have engaged in the pilot programme. |
The in-service teacher training programme contains 10 different learning bites that support teachers to carry our research and which are free and open for anyone to use. The learning designs include:
|
VignettesIn addition, our school partner created four vignettes of teachers explaining how they have carried out research in their school contexts. They are all available from our YouTube playlist.
You can see one example here. This is called Following Galileo's Path. It is by Takis Tsoumakis, a physics teacher in Ellinogermaniki Agogi (Greece), who talks about a guided inquiry based activity he has carried out in his school. |

As the in-service teacher training programme is now completed, we have packaged all the materials into an eBook which is just going through final edits / proof reading.
You can download the version 3.0 draft of this eBook from this page. This version contains not only the in-service teacher training programme but information on all our other outputs created as part of this project as well as links to our 33 videos and our 15 case studies. An Invitation...If you are interested in learning more about this project then please contact us directly via the Project Lead: Dr Sarah-Louise Jones, University of Hull, UK ([email protected]).
