Case Studies and Multimedia Scenarios
The aim of the Case Studies and Multimedia Scenarios was to capture and document the experiences of teachers in schools as they engaged in research in their day to day practices at school.
These case studies have been used in conjunction with the mobile app, the in-service teacher training programme and include evidence of small scale research, including visual representations of the outcomes of that research. This work was underpinned by evidence that teachers need to see ‘a variety of living examples of implementation, as practised by teachers with whom they can identify’ (Black & William, 2010). The video versions can be accessed via our YouTube playlist and the hard copies can be accessed via our eBook. You can also view any of our other 33 videos on different aspects of how to run a research project on our YouTube playlist. |
The Case Studies
In total, we have created 15 case studies from across the partnership. Each gives an illustration of how teachers across England, Greece, Ireland, Poland and Spain have carried our small scale classroom based research. They demonstrate to other teachers how such practices can seamlessly be integrated into teaching activities and provide a way of capturing teachers’ tacit knowledge of their own practices and their experiences of researching their practices.
Each case study is split into two parts. The first part explains what the research was about and how it was carried out. The second part then looks back and deconstructs the through processes the teachers went through in order to carry out the research.
All 15 case studies appear in full in out eBook, but below are a selection to browse through.
